ERS elections and open positions

Alongside an opportunity for members to take on official and essential roles within the European Respiratory Society (ERS) structure, ERS members also have an opportunity to have their say about the future leaders of the Society through open voting.

Current open voting:

Voting is now open for a number of official ERS positions. View the positions currently open for voting.

The voting period will end on 7 January, 2026. Vote via the elections page on myERS.

Results announcements:

The results of these elections will be announced in January 2026.

 

Director of Scientific Relations with the EU 

ERS is currently looking for a new Director of Scientific Relations with the EU. The Director is a member of the Advocacy Council and acts as the main reference point for EU related advocacy and science matters – liaising between the Advocacy Council and the Science Council. This is an unpaid, voluntary role supported by the ERS Advocacy Department and, when needed, by the ERS Scientific Department.
