Everything you need to know about the European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress Milan 2023.
The Business Centre is located in Hall 4 and will open from Saturday 9 September to Tuesday 12 September from 8:00 to 17:30.
During the ERS Congress, Car Parking is open on the roof and the price is of €16,00 per car, per day.
Payment needs to be done directly when entering the parking.
On the roof of MiCo, our traffic attendants will direct participants towards GATE 5 to reach the main entrance by either lifts or stairs. The address is Via Colleoni, Gate RAMPA COLLEONI, 20149 Milan.

No official lunches will be provided for Congress participants but there will be a number of lunch facilities around the Congress venue, including cafeterias, restaurants, bars and several coffee/snack points.
Please note that no childcare service will be provided in Milan.
A cloakroom service for coats and reasonably sized luggage is available during the opening hours of the Congress. The cloakroom service will be located in the Balcony of Hall 3 and is at the delegates’ own expense. The cost per item is €4.
This year the Congress Platform, the Abstracts and the E-Posters will be united in the Congress Resources Areas. Those services will be available in five areas throughout the Congress Centre. The Congress Resources Areas will also provide delegates with the means to charge their Apple and Android devices for free. In 2023, this service is supported by MSD.
Congress badges will have a QR code that contains a link to some of the personal data (first/last name, address, e-mail and professional category) delegates have submitted to ERS to register for the 2023 ERS International Congress. By allowing any third party to scan their badge during this event, participants give their consent to share their data with them. The barcode will act as an electronic business card. Nonetheless, delegates are under no obligation under any circumstances to share their details with any third party during this event. This does not include the security checks at the entrance of the Congress Center or of each hall.

Dress will be informal throughout the Congress. ERS reserves the right to refuse access when deemed necessary for the comfort and safety of all delegates.
ERS will build and service a lounge and meeting area for the Congress delegates. This area will be located in the middle of the ERS World Village. The seating area will cover a total of 450sqm and will offer delegates the possibility to work, meet up, network or simply rest with a cup of coffee. In 2023, this service is supported by CHIESI.
This exhibition is restricted to healthcare professionals. The general public (inclusive of patients and children) are forbidden by international law to enter the exhibition or any room hosting an industry activity. In addition, the ERS asks delegates and faculty to refrain from taking children to any scientific sessions or practical demonstrations. In the event that children are required to enter the Congress venue, they should by supervised by an adult at all times and observe the restrictions that apply to limited access area. In the event that a member of public is invited to participate in the ERS Congress Scientific Programme, they should be accompanied by a qualified healthcare professional or ERS representative, observing the ERS restrictions where appropriate.
First Aid is available in Hall 3.
In case of a medical issue inside the venue, please contact them at +39 024 342 72 10. They will be able to coordinate any further action (call an ambulance, go to a hospital etc.).
A Hotel Desk will be available in Hall 4 from Saturday 9 September to Wednesday 13 September, 2023, during Congress opening hours.
ERS accepts no liability for injuries and/or losses of whatever nature incurred by participants and/or accompanying persons, nor for loss or damage to their luggage and/or personal belongings. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

There is parking available inside the venue, on the roof of Hall 3-4. You can enter through Viale Teodorico. It costs €15 for the whole day or €9 after 14:00 CEST.
The education, scientific and industry programme of the Congress will highlight state-of-the-art clinical practice, recent advances, new data and views from different stakeholders and international organisations, all of which can be found in the Programme-at-a-Glance available in the Registration area.
Please pay special attention to your personal belongings, especially when walking around the city centre and on public transport.
Any security problems or concerns within the Congress venue should be reported to a uniformed member of staff. Emergency exits are marked with exit signs.
Allow extra time upon arrival
Please be aware that the Congress centre’s standard security processes at the entrance to the event may take a few extra moments of your time. Please try to avoid last minute arrival so that you do not miss the start of any planned activities.
The ERS Congress will take place in Allianz MiCo, which is a smoke/vape free venue. This ban applies to the whole building, including the catering locations and loading areas. As smoking is a major cause of lung disease, ERS further asks Congress participants and exhibitors not to smoke in Allianz MiCo or any area within 100 meters of the building.
Depending on the availability, it is possible to acquire a manual wheelchair on site. Manual wheelchairs are free of charge and can be picked up at the cloakroom. A personal ID will be requested as a guarantee until the wheelchair is returned.
Taxis will be available at the main entrance during Congress days and opening times.
We wanted to bring to your attention that Italy has strict regulations with regards to the use of air conditioning and this will affect the temperature of the congress centre. With the regulations, the temperature of the air conditioning has to be set at 26C. We are informing you of this so that you can consider the appropriate clothing, which takes into consideration a warmer temperature inside.
Please head to the Hotel and Transportation Pass desk located in Hall 4 for any questions about the city of Milan. They will be able to provide further information about the city and your visit.
The date for purchasing transportation cards at a discounted price has now passed. Transportation cards will be available for purchase at a standard price in Milan.
The pre-purchased ticket is non-refundable, and can be collected it at the Hotels and Transportation Pass Desk, at the Congress venue.

With the support of GSK, ERS is offering delegates an electronic copy of the ERS Congress Abstracts on USB keys, which they can collect free of charge from the GSK stand M.01 (located in the Exhibition Hall).
The USB keys will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
There won’t be any voucher this year, delegates just need to come to the stand to pick it up by getting their badge scanned. Badge scanning is not compulsory.
