This course offers the latest insight into pulmonary rehabilitation, bringing together the viewpoints of both clinicians and physiotherapists. Participants will be provided with a comprehensive overview on when and how treatments should be delivered taking into account the latest guidelines in the field, as well as promising new tools and approaches.

Learning outcomes
Following this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the definition, main organisation and aspects of setting up and implementing pulmonary rehabilitation
- Assess people comprehensively to integrate pulmonary rehabilitation
- Identify and use the main components and adjuncts of pulmonary rehabilitation
- Design and implement a pulmonary rehabilitation programme
- Appreciate the value of education as an integral part of pulmonary rehabilitation
- Master hands-on skills to assess and intervene with pulmonary rehabilitation
- Reason and make informed decisions about the best pulmonary rehabilitation approach, at the most adequate setting, to the right patient, at the right time
Target audience
The target audience is primarily beginners in the following groups:
- Clinicians
- Respiratory therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational therapists
- Psychologists
- Respiratory physiologists
- Nurses
- Trainees in the above specialties
However, experts who want to refresh their knowledge are also welcome to join the course.
Accreditation
An application will be submitted to the European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) for CME accreditation of this event.
The number of credits that you will receive corresponds to your attendance during the course.
Please note that you need to scan your badge each day to ensure that you receive the CME credits.
A limited amount of bursaries are available, which will cover the cost of the registration fee.
To be eligible to apply, you must be:
- Under 40 years old
- A member of ERS
Please note that only one bursary may be allocated per person for all ERS courses, per calendar year.

Cancellation policy
Upon receipt of a written cancellation, a refund of fees, minus €50 administrative fee, will be applied up to six weeks before the course. After this date, no refund will be made for cancellations.
