Eva is Head of the Research Unit in Respiratory Infections, Department of Respiratory Diseases, Hospital Vall d’Hebron, Barcelona.
She is a specialist in respiratory diseases since 2003 and currently Head of the Research Unit in Respiratory Infections of the Department of Respiratory Diseases at Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona (VHIR, Spain).
Eva is currently Director of ERS relationships with the EU and is an ERS representative for different European Projects focused on the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
She is author of the European Guidelines on Adult Bronchiectasis and co-chair of EMBARC (European Registry of Bronchiectasis).
Nicolas is Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Paris Cité University, Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Cochin Hospital, Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris – Centre, Paris, France, and a researcher at Paris Cité University.
His major areas of interest are chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, inhaled therapy and real-life research especially focusing on comparative effectiveness studies.
Nicolas is a member of the GOLD scientific Committee and an executive committee member of the Respiratory Effectiveness Group.
He is currently serving a three-year-long mandate as ERS Science Council Chair since September 2022.
Michal is a Clinical Associate Professor and a specialist in internal medicine and pulmonology.
She is Director of the Bronchiectasis and Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit at the Carmel Medical Center and the Haifa and Western Galilee District, Clalit Health Services. She is a member of the management board for EMBARC and also sits on the management board for the Israeli Society of Tuberculosis and Mycobacterial diseases.
Letizia is a pneumologist and clinical researcher, currently enrolled in a Ph.D programme in the Pneumology Department of the Hospital Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca, Barcelona. She is also a junior collaborator of EMBARC.
Letizia's work focuses on bronchiectasis and its relation to other airway diseases. Additionally, her field of interest includes other aspects of bronchiectasis, such as chronic infection, the transition from pediatric age, and immunodeficiencies.
Prof. Dr Felix Ringshausen is Professor of Respiratory Medicine and a board-certified Infectious Diseases expert at Hannover Medical School, Germany, where he heads clinics for adults with bronchiectasis, PCD, CF and NTM pulmonary disease.
His clinical research interests include clinical trials and complex infections as well as translational and epidemiological aspects of the aforementioned disease areas. Amongst others, he is Principal Investigator of the German Center for Lung Research, Chair of the German Bronchiectasis Registry PROGNOSIS and member of the steering committee of the European Bronchiectasis Registry EMBARC.
