ERJ Open Research has been accepted for indexing in Clarivate Analytics’ Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), meaning that it will receive its first Impact Factor in summer 2022. Articles from 2019 onwards will be included in SCIE, as well as the Journal Citation Reports and Current Contents.
ERJ Open Research, a fully open access journal, is the third ERS journal to join the SCIE.
Responding to the news, Chief Editor Alyn Morice said: “We are absolutely delighted that the ERJ Open Research has been approved for inclusion in the SCIE. This really is a tribute to the quality of the manuscripts we have received from colleagues in the Society. Thank you all for your submissions. I would also extend my congratulations to the ERS publications team who have provided outstanding support during the recent unpleasantness. Our ambition has always been that the ERJ Open Research should be the premier open respiratory journal. With this accelerated approval we are well on the way to achieving this goal.”
