The European Reference Network (ERN), a service oriented network for patients and healthcare providers in rare respiratory diseases across Europe, is now accepting applications for the ERN-LUNG Academy. This course is aimed at medical doctors at any stage of their professional life, practicing inside of the European Union (plus the Western Balkan States, Switzerland, Norway, UK, Turkey, Israel) who wish to acquire more knowledge and practical experience on rare respiratory diseases.

The Academy consists of both practical and online elements. It includes a 3–5 day stay in one of the hospitals in the ERN-LUNG network, which are situated across Europe, according to the preference of the applicant. For members from the EU, the transport and accommodation will be fully financed by ERN-LUNG. The online learning materials will include webinars and case reports, which will describe rare respiratory diseases, their diagnosis, and care.

This year, ERN-LUNG wishes to receive as many applications as possible for the academy. Please send your application letter (explaining who you are and why you are interested in respiratory rare diseases) to this email address: info@ern-lung.eu.

The deadline for applications is 1 December 2022, our aim is to have our first “class” of participants selected by the end of 2022.

If you need more information, do not hesitate to contact us at: info@ern-lung.eu.
