This full-day course will focus on practical aspects of thoracic ultrasound procedures including demonstrations on volunteers, and discussion and interpretation of clinical cases. Each of the six topics will begin with a short overview with selected key elements and pitfalls.
Following the online course, all participants will create a portfolio of 25 TUS scans and review 10 cases from other participants.
Participants who attend the live online course and complete the post-course requirements will be awarded a certification of completion for part two and will be eligible to proceed to part three of the TUS training programme.
The thoracic ultrasound certified training programme is a three-part programme designed to train qualified doctors to independently perform thoracic ultrasound. Due to the pandemic, part two is currently an online course, while part three is being redesigned.
