The Thoracic ultrasound certified training programme is a three-part programme designed to train qualified doctors to independently perform thoracic ultrasound.
This two-day course will focus on practical aspects of thoracic ultrasound procedures including demonstrations on volunteers, and discussion and interpretation of clinical cases. Each of the six topics will begin with a short overview with selected key elements and pitfalls.
Following the course, all participants will create a portfolio of 10 TUS scans and review five cases from other participants.
- Phase 1: Create a portfolio of 10 TUS scans by 10 February, 2025
- Phase 2: Review five cases from other participants on the shared portal between 13-20 February, 2025
Participants who attend the course and complete the post-course requirements will be awarded a certification of completion for part two and will be eligible to proceed to part three of the TUS training programme.
