This two-day course will focus on practical aspects of thoracic ultrasound (TUS) procedures including demonstrations on volunteers, and discussion and interpretation of clinical cases. Each of the six topics will begin with a short overview with selected key elements and pitfalls.
Following the course, all participants will create a portfolio of 10 TUS scans and review five cases from other participants. Deadlines:
- Submission of the portfolio: 24 July, 2025 (23:59 CEST)
- Reviewing of five cases: 11 August, 2025 (23:59 CEST)
Participants who attend the course and complete the post-course requirements will be awarded a certification of completion for part two and will be eligible to proceed to part three of the TUS training programme.
Part three will take place on 27 September, 2025 at ERS Congress in Amsterdam. ERS Congress registration is not required to attend OSCE.
The thoracic ultrasound certified training programme is a three-part programme designed to train qualified doctors to independently perform thoracic ultrasound.

Cancellation policy
Upon receipt of a written cancellation, a refund of fees, minus €50 administrative fee, will be applied up to six weeks before the course. After this date no refund will be made for cancellations.
