Anton Vonk Noordegraaf, MD, PhD, is a professor and Chair of the division of Pulmonary Sciences at the Amsterdam University Medical Center, in the Netherlands. His research is focused on the mechanisms and treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, right ventricular failure, pulmonary haemodynamics, and clinical studies in the field of pulmonary hypertension. In 2016 he received the ERS Award for Lifetime Achievement in PAH and in 2009 he received the ‘Pulmonary Hypertension Research Award’ from the European Respiratory Society.
Silvia is the current Head of Pulmonary Hypertension in the Department of Pulmonology at the University Hospital of Zurich. Her research focuses on pulmonary hypertension, high-altitude physiology and medicine, and sleep apnea diagnostics and therapy. In 2022 she was awarded the Yernault-Lecture for Teaching at the European Respiratory Congress. Silvia is the current group Chair of 13.01 for pulmonary hypertension at the ERS.
Marc is Dean of the Medical School and Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the University Paris-Saclay, France and is the Director of the Respiratory and Intensive Care Medicine Department, French Pulmonary Hypertension Reference Centre, Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris. He was President of the European Respiratory Society (2022) and Chief Editor of the European Respiratory Journal (2013-2017). Marc Humbert is a key member of the organising committee of the World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension.
Louise has experience in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, where she has worked in sales and marketing. After her diagnoses of PAH in 2008, she has been active as a patient advocate for pulmonary hypertension in her own country, the Netherlands, and at the European level. She is president of the Dutch PH Association and is a board member of The Alliance for PH.
Isabel is an accomplished pulmonologist whose work has significantly contributed to the field of respiratory medicine, especially in pulmonary hypertension. She is the Head of the Pulmonary Hypertension Unit at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and is also a biomedical researcher at the Institut d’Investigacions Biomediques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS). Throughout her career, she has focused on the anti-proliferative and apoptosis mechanisms to develop innovative and effective treatments for pulmonary hypertension.
