Taking place on 22 November April, this ERS Vision Live panel discussion focuses on the influenza vaccine in the COVID era

The expert panellists will be discussing key areas, including:

  • The 2022-2023 flu season, what to expect?
  • The influenza vaccine in 2022: which one and for whom?
  • And finally, COVID and influenza, what are our messages for our chronic respiratory disease’s patients?

Prof. Claire Andrejak - profile image
Prof. Claire Andrejak

Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Secretary of Scientific council of the French Respiratory Society (SPLF).
She coordinates a French work group of Respiratory Infection (GREPI/SPLF) which proposes a guide on vaccinations for chronic respiratory diseases patients in France.
She is also a member of ERS Respiratory Infections Assembly.


Dr. Yacine Tandjaoui-Lambiotte  - profile image
Dr. Yacine Tandjaoui-Lambiotte

Pulmonologist for 15 years and is currently head of pulmonology and Infectious Diseases department in Saint Denis, France.
He has been an intensivist for the past 10 years, and is involved in the training of pulmonologists in low-income countries such as Asia and Africa.

Prof. Bruno Lina - profile image
Prof. Bruno Lina

Head of the Virology lab of the Hospices Civils de Lyon, director of two National Reference Centres, and head of the VIRPATH team in the CIRI research centre.
His work is mainly focused on emerging and re-emerging respiratory viruses.
He is a member of the French COVID-19 Scientific Council, of the Scientific committee of ANSES, and expert for several national and international bodies.
He is currently chair of the Global Influenza Initiative, and chair of the Independent Scientific Committee of the Global Influenza Hospital Surveillance Network.


Prof. Tobias Welte  - profile image
Prof. Tobias Welte

Professor of Pulmonary Medicine and Director of the Department of Pulmonary and Infectious Diseases at Hannover University School of Medicine, Hannover, Germany.
He leads a multicentre research group focusing on the epidemiology, diagnosis, management and prevention of respiratory infections and the pathophysiology and treatment of obstructive airway disease.
He was past President of the European Respiratory Society and serves on the executive boards of the German Centre for Lung Research (DZL).
He has a special interest in vaccine development and implementation of vaccines in clinical practice.


Prof. Eva Polverino - profile image
Prof. Eva Polverino

Eva is a pulmonologist specialised in respiratory Infections working at University Hospital Vall d'Hebron, in Barcelona, Spain.
She is the current ERS Head of Assembly 10 - respiratory infections and is an ERS representative for different European Projects focussed on the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
She is author of the European Guidelines on adult Bronchiectasis and co-chair of EMBARC (European Registry of Bronchiectasis).
