This webinar will see an expert panel discuss the on the ERS Guideline on diagnosis and management of Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis.
Pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP) is a very rare syndrome and an umbrella term for a multitude of different PAP-causing diseases. Due to accumulation of alveolar proteinaceous material, patients suffer from progressive dyspnoea, cough and ultimately respiratory failure. But there are treatment options that in severe cases can be lifesaving for patients and increasing evidence to support their use.
In order to improve patient care a Task Force Committee has developed a new guideline for PAP to provide clinicians with an evidence-based guidance on the diagnostic work-up and treatment options.
Educational aims
The webinar will describe PAP syndrome with respect to pathogenesis, epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and specifically diagnosis and management. After the webinar, participants will be able to recognise PAP, and will know which diagnostic tools to use and what treatment to recommend to patients.
Topics
The main topics to be discussed is PAP pathophysiology, diagnosis and management.

- Specialists
Format
This webinar will include 45 minutes of presentation, followed by interactive panel discussion and Q&A from participants.
Learning outcomes
After this webinar, participants will be able to:

- Understand the importance of measuring GM-CSF autoantibody titers
- Know the different treatment options for PAP
CME credit

What is a webinar?
A webinar closely simulates a lecture-based teaching experience. The speaker can interact with the audience, just as in a classroom setting. During the webinar, you will be asked to share your opinion on issues related to the topic using interactive polls.
All participants will be able to hear the lecturer and see the slides throughout the presentation. As a participant you will be able to pose questions or discuss ideas with the other participants via the text chat facility and the speaker will respond to the questions via the microphone.
