Eva is a specialist in respiratory diseases since 2003 and currently Head of the Research Unit in Respiratory Infections of the Department of Respiratory Diseases at Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona (VHIR, Spain).
She is the current ERS Head of Assembly 10: respiratory infections and is an ERS representative for different European Projects focused on the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
Eva’s main lines of investigation are non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis (NCFBE), cystic fibrosis (CF) and antimicrobial resistance.
She is author of the European Guidelines on Adult Bronchiectasis and co-chair of EMBARC (European Registry of Bronchiectasis).
Professor of Medicine and Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Interim) at Queen’s University Belfast
Stuart Elborn is Professor of Medicine and Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Interim) at Queen’s University Belfast. He is also a Visiting Professor at Imperial College London.
Stuart’s research interests are in cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis, focused on identifying new targets and diagnostics for infection and inflammation in lung disease, developing better therapies and the use of digital platforms and artificial intelligence in healthcare delivery.

Francesco Blasi, MD, PhD, FERS is Professor of Respiratory Medicine, Department of Pathophysiology and Transplantation at the University of Milan, Italy, as well as Head of Internal Medicine Department and Respiratory Unit of the Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan, Italy.
He was formerly President of the European Respiratory Society, President of the Italian Respiratory Society as well as the current President of the Italian Society of Cystic Fibrosis.

Susan Madge is the Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, Royal Brompton Hospital, London.
Susan has worked with both children and adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) for nearly 40 years. Her particular areas of interest are standards of care, adolescence and end of life.
Susan has been involved with teaching around the world and runs a multi-disciplinary course on CF through the life span in London, which is also available online.
