HERMES examinations in adult and paediatric respiratory medicine

Setting a common, high standard of knowledge amongst respiratory specialists and trainees within Europe.

About the HERMES online examinations

Since their creation in 2008, the HERMES examinations in adult and paediatric respiratory medicine have served as the standard of knowledge-assessment for respiratory specialists at European level and are recognised within the profession worldwide. The multiple-choice examinations are based on European syllabi in respiratory medicine and are accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) and approved by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP).

The Swiss Society of Pulmonology (SSP) as well as The Swiss Society of Paediatric Pulmonology (SSPP) have both adopted HERMES exams as their mandatory written exit exam for final-year trainees in respiratory medicine.

The online examination provides convenience for candidates to participate from anywhere around the world, under secured human supervision of the CYIM/ProctorU® invigilation platform.
