The FIRA Barcelona congress centre has excellent connections to the city centre and the airport via ground transportation. The main metro stop next to the venue is “Fira”. Please go to the Barcelona website for more information on how to reach the venue via public transportation.
To reach the congress centre by taxi, instruct the driver to take you to the North Entrance of the FIRA Barcelona Gran Via, which is located on the street Carrer del Foc. This will take you to the main entrance of the ERS International Congress.
Take the Metro Blue Line 5 from Plaça de Sants towards Cornellà Centre and get off at Collblanc (3 stops). From there, take the Metro Orange Line 9S towards Aeropuerto T1. Get off at Fira (4 stops), which is located about 700 metres from the North Entrance of the congress centre.
Take the Metro Red line 1 from Plaça Catalunya towards Hospital de Bellvitge and get off at Torrassa (9 stops). From there, take the Metro Orange Line 9S towards Aeropuerto T1. Get off at Fira (3 stops), which is approximately a 10-minute walk away from the North Entrance of the congress centre.
ERS has negotiated a special rate for public transportation cards with the Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) for ERS Congress participants, with the support of the city of Barcelona.
A transportation card costs €4.40 for three full days of unlimited travel within the city. The card allows unlimited rides within Barcelona on overground and underground urban lines during the days of validity, to/from the airport, which includes: metro, bus (TMB), urban railway (FGC, Zone 1), Montjuïc funicular, tram (TRAM), and regional railway (Rodalies de Catalunya, Zone 1). If you choose to purchase a card, you may collect it at the Transportation Card desks in the Congress centre.
Important: The transportation card is not included in the ERS Congress registration fee. It can be purchased through the registration platform. These cards will be sold on a first come first served basis. The deadline to purchase transportation cards is Friday, 19 August 2022 at 23:59 CEST. Past this date, it will be no longer possible to make any new purchase, and there will be no sales onsite. Transportation cards are non-refundable.
