Helpful information for online congress delegates

The online ERS congress platform gives live and replay access to congress content for an online audience. Here is some helpful information about being an online delegate at this year’s event.

Can I access all of the sessions featured in the programme?

The vast majority of scientific and industry sessions will be available via the online platform. Most of the sessions that are not presented live will be available to you as an online replay 24 hours after the session has taken place. Replays will then be available until the end of the year.

What sessions will not be available live, but will be available as a replay?

  • Oral presentations
  • Early Career Members symposium
  • Science slam
  • Joint sessions

What sessions/activities listed in the programme will not be available to online delegates in any format?

Due to logistical reasons, there are a small number of (mostly) educational sessions/activities that we cannot accommodate online. These are:

  • Poster sessions
  • Skills workshops
  • Postgraduate courses
  • NEXT programme
  • OSCE examination
  • Wednesday special sessions
  • Academies

Can I connect and interact with colleagues online?

Though the networking opportunities available in person cannot be replicated online, we aim to ensure that online delegates still benefit from being able to connect, network, and engage with each other and faculty. The congress platform allows online delegates to ask questions to speakers (where prompted) and reach out to faculty.  The congress app also has a networking feature to facilitate connecting with colleagues. Note, you need to opt in to use this feature when you download the app.

Do I need to download the ERS congress app?

The official congress app is valuable to both online and onsite participants. As an online delegate, you can check the programme and use online networking tools that will allow you to chat with other delegates. Delegates can access ‘My programme’ which will display all bookmarked sessions based on searches. The app will be available to download from Google Play and Apple App Store from Tuesday 16 September. Please note, users must ‘opt in’ to the networking tools to be visible to other users.

How do I access congress content after the event ends?

Both online and onsite congress delegates who have registered to attend the full ERS Congress will have access to recordings of congress sessions and presentations. The online platform will remain available until 30 December after which, recordings will be available only to ERS members on the ERS Respiratory Channel.

Can I still get CME credits as an online delegate?

Yes – continuing medical education (CME) credits  will be available for both onsite and online delegates who register for the full Congress.

The ERS Congress has been accredited with 40 CME credits. 40 CME credits can be accrued between live sessions and session replays. CME credits are awarded based on your attendance of live sessions taking place between 27–30 September, 2025 and will be available from 13 October and after completion of the Congress evaluation survey. CME credits will also be awarded for session replays, based on your hourly attendance.
