The European Respiratory Society (ERS) is pleased to announce that virtual academies in both adult and paediatric respiratory medicine will take place online this summer, providing a comprehensive overview of each of the major fields of respiratory medicine. Both the paediatric and the adult academy will take place over three days, running from 28–30 June.

The programmes, which are based on the HERMES syllabus, are designed for all respiratory professionals wishing to update their knowledge or those preparing for the HERMES examinations.

Both the programme for the adult academy and the programme for the paediatric academy consist of comprehensive lectures, interactive case-based sessions, workshops and Q&A discussion sessions.

Participants wishing to be a part of the programme are invited to submit a clinical case before 31 May, 2022, which will be presented and discussed during a case-based session if selected. Participants preparing for the HERMES examinations may also register for the ERS HERMES self-assessment courses in adult and paediatric respiratory medicine for the reduced fee of €50. Early bird discount for the academies is available until 6 June, 2022.
