Registration has opened for the ERS International Congress 2023. The event will take place in Milan from 9-13 September and will once again offer in-person or online attendance.

Early registration is encouraged to avoid disappointment after onsite places sold out for last year’s Congress. An early-bird discount will be available for anyone who registers before 5 July – bringing a significant saving on full price rates. ERS members will also be able benefit from member discount, plus be excluded from Italian V.A.T (22%).

ERS President Prof. Carlos Robalo Cordeiro said: “We are delighted to have opened registration for the ERS International Congress 2023 in Milan, which will be another exciting hybrid event.

“At the ERS Congress, we present the latest in respiratory medicine, science and research. This year’s event also marks the return of a five-day programme for the first time since 2019, so we’re excited for delegates to enjoy Congress in all its glory. We will be using every second of the Congress carefully – right up to the last day when we will present new opportunities for networking, building relationships and getting engaged in new projects.”

The 2023 programme will include a full schedule of sessions, symposia and workshops which offer the very latest in respiratory medicine and science across a range of topics.

“The ERS Congress offers a chance for all respiratory professionals to hear from the world’s leading respiratory experts as they present the very latest in scientific and clinical advances in respiratory medicine. It is a great opportunity to meet up with colleagues and discuss the latest developments in the respiratory field,” continued Prof. Cordeiro.

“As part of ERS’ commitment to a more sustainable future, we are introducing a new initiative for 2023, whereby we ask all in-person attendees to donate €5 towards carbon offsetting for this event. ERS will then match the amount collected and donate 100% of the funds to a project which is in alignment with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. We hope we get wide support for this, but the fee is not mandatory and registrants can opt out if they so wish.”
