The European Respiratory Society is pleased to announce that registration for this year’s HERMES online examinations in adult and paediatric respiratory medicine is now open. The examinations will take place online on 28 September, 2024.
The ERS HERMES examinations serve as a standard of knowledge assessment amongst respiratory specialists and trainees within Europe, and are recognised within the profession worldwide.
The HERMES examinations are available in either adult or paediatric respiratory medicine, with three categories available for each format – catering to those currently in-training, in the early stages of developing their career, and experienced respiratory professionals.
All examinations are based on European syllabi in respiratory medicine, and accredited by EBAP with CME credits available. In particular, the European Diploma is proof of excellence in the field which demonstrates commitment to life-long learning, can boost your mobility, and enables you to self-assess as a professional.
The deadline to register for the examinations is 2 September, 2024. Anyone who registers for the HERMES examinations before 1 June will receive a discounted earlybird fee.
In preparation for the examinations, HERMES self-assessment courses on both adult and paediatric respiratory medicine will take place online on 21 June. The courses include a multiple-choice examination made up of 30 case-based questions selected from the question pool of the ERS HERMES Examinations followed by a discussion and explanation of the answers with a content expert.
