New live event series ‘Respiratory Meets…’ focuses in on collaborative working across disciplines  - article image

A new quarterly online event has been launched on the ERS Respiratory Channel which will showcase collaborative working between medical professionals working in respiratory medicine and other disciplines in order to provide the best possible care to patients with multisystem disease requirements.

The first instalment of ERS Respiratory Meets will take place live on 16 December from 18:00–19:00 CET.

In the first edition – ERS Respiratory Meets: Renal – respiratory experts will be joined by an expert working in the field of renal medicine to discuss a patient who is living with vasculitis and how they are managed by the respiratory and renal teams.

This edition will be chaired by Dr Sheila Ramjug of Salford Royal Foundation Trust, Manchester and Editor of the ERS Respiratory Channel. Sheila will be joined by:

  • Dr Silke Brix of the Renal Department at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and honourary lecturer at the University of Manchester, UK.
  • Dr Nazia Chaudhuri of the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK. Nazia is a respiratory physician specialising in interstitial lung disease (ILD) service and has been lead of the ILD service at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, UK for close to 10 years.
