A recent ERJ editorial highlights the achievements of the ERS fellowship programme, which significantly expanded over the past three years and has supported more than 620 clinicians and scientists to further their careers since 1997.
It presents all the wide-ranging fellowship opportunities currently available, including the next upcoming round of the Short-term Research Training Fellowships (deadline: 1 October 2016).
Additionally, the RESPIRE2 fellowship programme was showcased in a dedicated video as well as the latest issue of the EU Research Magazine, which disseminates scientific research across Europe. More than 20 fellowship recipients are currently carrying out research projects covering a wide range of respiratory illnesses as a result of RESPIRE2.
Further opportunities to become the next RESPIRE Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowship recipients will be launched by the end of October 2016, thanks to the 1st call of the next generation RESPIRE3 postdoctoral research programme. Host centres can already apply to be listed on the forthcoming RESPIRE3 Web Host Registry; application by the end of September 2016 is recommended to be featured from the outset.
