A new CME Online module, on the topic of Digital health, AI, and smart inhalers in COPD managment, is now available on the ERS Respiratory Channel.
This module, led by Dr Grainne D’Ancona, Dr Kostas Kostikas and Dr Amy Chan, will cover the increasingly sophisticated management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
The module is relevant to a wide range of healthcare professionals including pulmonologists; respiratory therapists; pharmacists; primary care physicians; policymakers and digital health organisations.
The management of COPD has progressed due to the integration of digital health technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart inhalers.
This module addresses the critical need for understanding how AI-driven innovations and digital health tools can optimise the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of COPD, particularly in enhancing medication adherence and personalising treatment plans. It also aims to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate AI and digital health technologies into their clinical practice, ultimately leading to improved COPD patient outcomes.
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of AI in COPD management.
- Leverage digital health tools.
- Improve medication adherence.
- Personalise COPD treatment.
- Enhance patient engagement.
