CME Online: Diagnosis of progressive pulmonary fibrosis

CME Online: Diagnosis of progressive pulmonary fibrosis - article image

A new CME module is now available which focuses on diagnosis of progressive pulmonary fibrosis. The module is led by the director Prof. Martin Kolb who is accompanied by Prof. Remy-Jardin and Dr. Molyneaux.

The module will address a very important, still somewhat neglected topic in the management of patients with ILD. The last 2 decades have focused on IPF, and taught us plenty about the pathogenesis, disease behaviour and also therapy. There are many patients with progressive fibrosing ILD that have a diagnosis distinct from IPF, yet behave the same. These are in numbers likely as many as patients with prototypical IPF. The management of this group of patients, including clinical and radiological presentation as well as therapeutic intervention will be addressed in the module.

The module involves interactive case simulations, panel discussion videos, suggested readings and will end in a CME test. Participants with a myERS account will also be able to take a test on the topic at the end of the module, which is accredited with one CME credit. A CME certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the CME test.
