This two-day course will focus on practical aspects of thoracic ultrasound procedures including demonstrations on volunteers, and discussion and interpretation of clinical cases. Each of the six topics will begin with a short overview with selected key elements and pitfalls.
Following the course, all participants will create a portfolio of 10 TUS scans and review five cases from other participants. Deadlines:
- Submission of the portfolio: 16 July 2024 (23:59 CET)
- Reviewing of five cases: 25 July 2024 (23:59 CET)
Participants who attend the course and complete the post-course requirements will be awarded a certification of completion for part two and will be eligible to proceed to part three of the TUS training programme. Part three will take place on 7 September 2024 at ERS Congress in Vienna. ERS Congress registration is not required to attend OSCE.
The thoracic ultrasound certified training programme is a three-part programme designed to train qualified doctors to independently perform thoracic ultrasound.
