Childhood interstitial lung disease (chILD) is a heterogeneous group of rare respiratory disorders with high morbidity and mortality. As ILD before two years of age is very rare, each centre faces a limited number of patients per year. It is important to discuss the optimal management.
Educational aims
Optimise the diagnosis work-up and the management of ILD before two years of age, especially of neonatal ILD.
Topics
- Clinical presentation, imaging, histologic and genetic findings of ILD before two years of age.
- Management of ILD before two years of age, especially of neonatal ILD.
Target audience:
- Clinicians (especially paediatricians, paediatric pulmonologists and clinicians in intensive care units)
- Radiologists (especially paediatric radiologists)
- Paediatric pulmonology fellows
- Paediatric radiology fellows
Format
This webinar will include one lecture of 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of discussion facilitated by a moderator. During the lecture, clinical cases will be presented with the interaction of a paediatric pulmonologist and a paediatric radiologist.
Learning outcomes
Improve knowledge on ILD before two years of age, especially neonatal ILD to optimize the management of this rare disease.
CME credit
An application for accreditation of this webinar has been made to the European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) for 1 CME credit per 1-hour attendance. If accredited, the CME credit will be granted upon attendance of at least 60 minutes during the live webinar only.
What is a webinar?
A webinar closely simulates a lecture-based teaching experience. The speaker can interact with the audience, just as in a classroom setting. During the webinar, you will be asked to share your opinion on issues related to the topic using interactive polls.
All participants will be able to hear the lecturer and see the slides throughout the presentation. As a participant you will be able to pose questions or discuss ideas with the other participants via the text chat facility and the speaker will respond to the questions via the microphone.
