Examination results and appeals

Results

Examination results will be released approximately 4–6 weeks after the examination takes place. All documents will be uploaded to each candidate’s myERS online profile. You will also receive a notification email informing you that the examination results are available. Upon receipt of this email, please log into myERS profile to access your results. You will find the following documents online (where applicable):

  • Official result letter (including subscore results)
  • Certificate of attendance
  • Certificate of CME credits (if requested during registration)

For European Diploma candidates: Printed certificates will be delivered to successful European Diploma candidates within 4 months after the examination date. Each candidate will be contacted via email to arrange the delivery. Final year trainees will only receive their certificates when proof of their national accreditation in respiratory medicine is provided to the ERS office.

Appeals

The appeals process is to afford candidates the opportunity to appeal the decision on the pass/fail results. The appeals procedure is not concerned with making judgements about candidates’ work in the examination and the examination will not be re-assessed.

The candidate is entitled to appeal examination results within 10 working days starting from the date of the release of examination results. To make a formal appeal, candidates must complete the ERS Examination Appeal form and email it to hermes@ersnet.org

For more information on the appeals process and to apply for an appeal please read the Appeal Procedure
