By Plane

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)
  • Barcelona-El Prat Airport is the main international airport serving Barcelona, located approximately 12 km from the congress venue.
  • The airport has two terminals, T1 and T2, connected by a free shuttle bus.
  • Direct flights are available from most major European cities, as well as intercontinental destinations.

Getting to the congress centre

By Public Transport

From Barcelona-El Prat Airport
  • Take metro line L9 Sud (orange line) from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 and get off at Fira station, located directly underneath the venue.
  • Journey time is between 15 and 25 minutes.
From Barcelona Sants train station 
  • The fastest option is to take metro L5 (blue line) from Sants Estació and transfer to L9 Sud (orange line) at Collblanc.
  • Get off at Fira station, located directly underneath the venue.
  • Journey time is approximately 17 minutes, with trains running every 7 minutes.

By Taxi

  • Taxis are available at the airport, at Barcelona Sants, and throughout the city, identifiable by their yellow and black livery.
  • The journey from the airport takes approximately 15 minutes, with an estimated fare of €20–25.
  • Taxis accept card payment.

Transportation cards

The most efficient way to travel to the venue of the ERS Congress 2026 is by public transportation.

ERS has negotiated a special rate with TMB for a 5-day unlimited travel card covering all buses, metro (including the airport), and urban railways (zone 1) within Barcelona, at €17.86 per person. Cards can be purchased at the time of registration.

Please note: the transport card is not included in the congress registration fee and is non-refundable, including in the event of registration cancellation.
