The ERS Respiratory Challenge

While at the ERS stand, why not take part in the ERS Respiratory Challenge? Test your knowledge and search skills using the ERS Respiratory Channel: answer questions by searching the Channel for a chance to win a limited edition notebook and pen.

Find out more about the multilingual evidence-based information ELF produces for people with lung conditions and how you can engage patients in your activities. Visit the ELF stand anytime to meet the team or at 15.00–16.30 every day to interact with patient organisations from across Europe and the globe.

Join us on the Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL) stand to learn how to protect lung health. The HLfL campaign is a joint ERS/ELF campaign which covers topics such as #BreatheCleanAir, #Vaccinate, #TaketheActiveOption, #BeSmokeFree and #FightClimateChange. Here you can learn about the different activities that ELF are offering this year, such as Patient Organisation Networking Day. You will be able to sign up to the Take the active option at Congress walk or run on Tuesday 10th at 7:30 CEST.

The ERS Bookshop will be hosted in the World Village from Saturday 7 September. Visit the bookshop to browse and purchase books onsite from the extensive ERS Publications collection.

The International Respiratory Coalition (IRC) is a multisector coalition that aims to transform post-pandemic respiratory care and reduce respiratory disease-related mortality by a third globally by 2030 – in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The IRC now has 16 national coalitions across Europe and continues to grow. Visit the IRC booth to learn more about its national initiatives and pick up a copy of the IRC manifesto. The IRC booth will also be a meeting place for the national coalition partners.

As part of ERS’s ongoing commitment to reduce the environmental impact of the society and increase our positive contributions towards a sustainable future, we have once again partnered with the climate protection foundation myclimate. The myclimate stand will be available in the World Village from Saturday to Wednesday.

Visit the stand to:

• Talk with a sustainability consultant – feel free to ask the onsite expert questions about sustainability and sustainable practices.
• Take part in a quiz on the topic of the impact of climate change, with a focus on respiratory health and breathing. Some of the highest scorers will be selected to have a tree planted in their name.
• Use our six virtual reality experiences to understand more about the impact of climate change.
• Take part in our activities designed to make you think about the amount of energy that is needed for tasks – pedal to make your own fresh juice using locally sourced produce.
• If you haven’t already, you can also take the opportunity to donate €5 towards two climate protection projects which focus on clean air, and ERS will double your donation!

The World Village auditorium is a dedicated space for meetings, presentations and gatherings organised by ERS in partnership with patient organisations, early-career members, national and regional partner societies.
