Registration for the ERS HERMES examinations in adult and paediatric respiratory medicine will open on 1 March, 2026.

Registration steps

  1. Check your eligibility and examination category
  2. Prepare all necessary documentations (documents must be in ENGLISH, formatted in pdf, jpg, doc, or docx, and be no more than 2MB in size).
  3. Create a myERS account (if you are not an existing ERS member)
  4. Register through your myERS profile or online

Tips and advice: 

  • Start the registration process well in advance of the deadline – take advantage of the early-bird discount (available until 1 June, 2026)
  • Check that your ERS Membership is up to date and active before registering (particularly if you are a dual member through one of our Society partners)
  • Ensure you have read the Terms & Conditions before registering

***To be registered under the European Respiratory Society (ERS) member fee, the candidate must have an active membership at the time of registration

Registration Policies

HERMES Online Examination policies are found on the ERS HERMES Examination in Respiratory Medicine Terms and Conditions.

  • By registering for the ERS HERMES examination, the candidate confirms that he/she adheres to the terms and conditions as stipulated within the ERS HERMES Examination in Respiratory Medicine Terms and Conditions
  • ERS reserves the right to modify programmes when/if deemed necessary.
  • Cancellations are accepted, if a request has been sent in writing up to 6 weeks prior to the start of the event. Within this deadline, a full refund, minus €50 of administration fees, will be made. No refund will be possible past this deadline.
