European Respiratory Society (ERS) task force TF-2019-12 has launched a survey which aims to improve the quality of clinical trials which evaluate new treatments for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations.

The survey–organised in collaboration with the European Lung Foundation (ELF)–will examine respiratory symptom flare-ups, which are often characterised by increased breathlessness, cough and wheeze, in order to develop a core outcome set to be tested in all future clinical trials evaluating new treatments for COPD exacerbations.

The survey has two parts, 4-8 weeks apart. Each part of the survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Participants will be sent a summary of the survey’s findings after the project is completed.

Register for the survey in English, Danish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish.
