Rare Disease Day 2018: research is key to improving patient outcomes - article image

On 28 February, ERS will join health and patient organisations from all over the world to observe Rare Disease Day, an annual awareness event led by Rare Diseases Europe.

This year’s theme is Research, as continued research efforts play a key role in the fight for better outcomes for patients living with rare diseases.

To mark the day, we have gathered a range of ERS publications and selected e-learning materials on rare respiratory diseases for your easy access. You can also find highlights on this topic listed on the European Respiratory Review site.

For a limited time, until 8 March, the ebook of the ERS Monograph on Orphan Lung Diseases is available to download for free. This ebook covers the most common and/or complex of these diseases, acting as a solid companion to the respiratory physician when considering a diagnosis. Simply visit the bookshop, add it to your cart and complete the purchase process as normal. You will not be charged.
