Professionals working in TB are invited to join an upcoming technical consultation that will look at the evidence on the effectiveness of common digital health approaches to improve TB management.
Entitled, “Digital health for the End TB strategy: progress since 2015 and future perspectives”, the consultation will discuss the implications of current evidence and advances in technology in the context of TB control. Experts will look at how these advances can be used to develop digital TB-related health products and novel approaches that could influence TB effort.
Bringing together over 40 experts, the meeting will look back at two years of collaboration between the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the Global TB Programme of the World Health Organization (WHO) on digital health for TB care and prevention. ERS has worked with WHO to raise the profile of digital technologies as a means to helping national programmes worldwide to advance towards the ambitious goals of the WHO’s End TB Strategy.
