ERS makes improvements to its membership structure - article image

ERS has introduced changes to its membership structure as part of recent improvements. The changes mean that options for assembly/group affiliations are more tailored than before and should improve the overall membership experience.

The key purpose of the ERS assemblies and their sub groups is to bring together like-minded specialists and to provide targeted opportunities, information and education based on specialist areas of practice or interest.

The new changes are: Assembly 1, which was previously called “Clinical”, will now focus on “General Pneumology”, whereas the newly introduced Assembly 14 now accommodates “Clinical Techniques, Imaging and Endoscopy”. New groups have also been added respectively to accommodate those interested in m-health/e-health and ultrasound.

Some groups originally belonging to Assembly 1 have been moved over to Assembly 14 as a result of this new structure. Members who are affiliated with the affected groups have already been informed of the changes and have been automatically moved over as appropriate – with an option to change their preferences moving forward.

ERS encourages all its members to visit the online membership platform myERS and review their current assembly/group affiliations to ensure they are set to the most appropriate preferences in light of these improvements.

  • 1.02 Rehabilitation and Chronic Care|
