The European Respiratory Society (ERS) has launched a COVID-19 community forum. This platform will enable healthcare professionals worldwide to connect, discuss and share experiences relating to the current outbreak.
Initially, the topics for discussion are triage and diagnosis; acute care; chronic care and discharge issues; treating COVID infected children; logistic aspects; mental health; and managing drop out. New topics can also be suggested.
The forum is one of several COVID-19 specific resources developed by ERS to support professionals during these unprecedented times. Other features such as blogs, webinars, research summaries, publications and patient question and answers are also all currently available.
The COVID-19 resources from ERS are open access – meaning they are not reserved for members. In order to access this forum and join the discussion, participants simply need to sign up for a myERS account where indicated.
COVID-19: More resources ways to get involved
The forum is the latest addition to ERS’s free to access COVID-19 resources and are complemented by the recently launched COVID-19 blogs: In the line of duty. The blogs focus on the experiences of health professionals who are working on the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak.
