The European Respiratory Journal is seeking high-quality research papers on respiratory infections for a special series due to be published later this year.
The editors would like to feature papers on acute and chronic conditions across different specialities – such as pneumonia, viral infection and exacerbation, pleural infection, and bronchiectasis – along with hot topics such as antimicrobial resistance and the microbiome.
Of particular interest are randomised clinical trials, studies with immediate relevance to clinical practice, and translational studies with the potential to change the way we look at acute and chronic respiratory infections.
The deadline for submissions is 31 March, 2026.
