We ask all participants of the ERS Congress to familiarise themselves with official congress terms and conditions and other guidelines. Additionally, we provide helpful practical information for quick reference by delegates.

  • Access to congress content (live/replays/online/onsite)

    Pre-Congress content – available online from 15 September, 2025:

  • Breastfeeding provisions

    Breastfeeding mothers are permitted to bring their babies up to the age of six months into the congress centre and within scientific sessions. Additionally, there is a breast-feeding room for privacy available in the congress centre reserved for congress participants.

    Note: We do ask that parents with babies are considerate of other delegates and, should babies become upset during presentations, aim to leave the session room as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to others. Hostesses onsite may ask anyone causing a prolonged disruption to leave sessions.

    If you are bringing an infant, please make yourself known at the pre-registration desk on arrival so that a few additional security details can be taken.

  • Car parking

    There is an easily accessible parking garage on the A10 ring road, follow P-RAI 1-6. Parking rate: €5.50 per hour, maximum €35.00 per day. For more information check the RAI official website.

  • Cash dispensers

    There are cash dispensers available onsite. They are located at the main entrance (Entrance K).

  • Catering (access to food and beverages onsite)

    No official lunches will be provided for congress participants but there will be a number of lunch facilities around the congress centre, including cafeterias, restaurants, bars and several coffee/snack points.

    Water fountains will be available throughout the venue, please note that all tap water is drinkable and of high quality in Amsterdam. Please do not forget to bring your water bottle or container.

  • Charging points

    This year at the ERS Congress, delegates will have access to 15 dedicated charging stations conveniently located throughout the congress centre. This service is proudly sponsored by GSK in 2025.

  • Childcare services onsite

    ERS will offer free childcare services onsite during the ERS Congress 2025 in Amsterdam. It is recommended that you book your childcare services. Only registered participants can register their children for childcare, and a participant number is required to do so.

    All available options are listed within the registration form. The available child places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and we cannot guarantee spaces onsite without a pre-booking.

    Food will not be provided. You will need to provide lunch and snacks for your child for the day.

    How will this childcare service work and what is included?

    • This service is available for children aged between 4 months and 14 years old.
    • Sick children cannot be cared for.
    • This service is not equipped to accommodate children with special educational needs.
    • Only parents are authorised to administer medication; caregivers are not permitted to do so.
    • Meals will not be provided; however, parents can provide meals in advance to the caregiver or pick up their child during lunchtime and bring them back afterwards.
    • We advise you to bring a refillable bottle of water and some snacks for your child.
  • Cloakroom

    A cloakroom service for coats and reasonably-sized luggage is available during the opening hours of the Congress. The cloakroom service will be located in the basement of the Main Entrance (Entrance K) and is at the delegates’ own expense. The cost per coat is €2 and for any other items is €4. Kindly note that you are not allowed to enter the ERS Congress with luggage. Payment by card only.

  • CME credit and attendance certificate

    CME credits are awarded based on your hourly attendance of live sessions and session replays. You will be able to download your CME and attendance certificates on your myERS account from 13 October and after completion of the congress evaluation survey.

  • Data scanning system

    Congress badges will have a QR code that contains a link to some of the personal data (first/last name, address, e-mail and professional category) which delegates have submitted to ERS to register for the ERS Congress 2025.

    By allowing any third party to scan their badge during this event, participants give their consent to share their data with them. The barcode will act as an electronic business card.

    Nonetheless, delegates are under no obligation under any circumstances to share their details with any third party during this event. This does not include the security checks at the entrance of the congress centre or of each hall.

  • Dress code

    Dress will be informal throughout the Congress. ERS reserves the right to refuse access when deemed necessary for the comfort and safety of all delegates.

  • ERS Central (lounge and meeting area for delegates)

    ERS provides a service lounge and meeting area for congress delegates. This area will be located in the middle of the ERS World Village. The seating area will cover a total of 450sqm and will offer delegates the possibility to work, meet up, network or simply rest with a cup of tea. In 2025, this service is supported by PHILIPS.

  • Exhibition access

    The exhibition is restricted to healthcare professionals. The general public (including patients, children and members of the press) are forbidden by international law to enter the exhibition or any room hosting an industry activity. Please note that in Amsterdam, patient group organisations are considered healthcare providers and will be allowed into the exhibition.

  • First aid

    First aid is available next to World Village.

    In case of a medical issue inside the venue, please contact first aid on +31 20 549 1234. The first aid team will be able to coordinate any further action (call an ambulance, go to a hospital etc.).

  • Hotel Desk

    A Hotel Desk will be available in the ERS Registration Area from Saturday 27 September to Wednesday 1 October 2025, during congress opening hours

  • Internet

    Internet connection is available throughout the congress centre. Simply connect to the network: ERS_Free_Internet and enter the password: erscongress

  • Language

    The official language of the ERS Congress 2025 is English. No translation will be provided.

  • Lost and found

    Please refer to the Cloakroom for the lost and found items.

  • Security

    Please pay special attention to your personal belongings, especially when walking around the city centre and on public transport.

    Any security problems or concerns within the congress venue should be reported to a uniformed member of staff. Emergency exits are marked with exit signs.

  • Smoking and vaping

    The ERS Congress will take place in RAI, which is a smoke/vape-free venue. This ban applies to the whole building, including the catering locations and loading areas. As smoking is a major cause of lung disease, ERS further asks congress participants and exhibitors not to smoke in RAI or any area within 100 metres of the building.

  • Special accessibility needs

    It is possible to borrow a wheelchair from RAI. To ensure availability, it is necessary to make a reservation in advance via email.

    Your reservation will be complete upon receiving a confirmation email. A deposit of €50.00 in cash and a valid ID is required at the time of collection.

  • Taxis

    Taxis will be available outside entrance L during congress days and opening times.

  • Transportation cards

    The most efficient way to travel to the venue of the ERS Congress 2025 is by public transportation.

    ERS has negotiated a special rate for public transportation cards with GVB for ERS Congress delegates. Please note that these cards will be sold at the time of registration for €29.75 per person for an unlimited travels on all buses, metro and commuter trains within Amsterdam for five days during the congress.

    Please note: The transportation card is not included in the ERS Congress 2025 registration fee.

    As ERS has negotiated a special rate for delegates, please note that no reimbursement will apply in case of cancellation. Additionally, should you require to cancel your registration to the ERS Congress 2025, please note that no reimbursement will apply for the purchased transportation cards.

  • Travel discounts

    Travelling by train

    ERS has negotiated a special discount with Eurostar for ERS Congress 2025 delegates.

    Benefit from reduced rates on selected ticket types and flexible travel options:

    • Up to 10% off Eurostar Standard tickets and up to 15% off Eurostar Plus tickets.
    • Preferential rates also apply to one accompanying person.
    • Flexibility to travel up to seven days before and after the congress.

    To benefit from this offer, you must agree to share your email address with Eurostar when registering for the ERS Congress 2025.

    Please note: This offer is only available to delegates who opt in during the registration process and is not accessible via the Eurostar website or other sales channels.

     

    Travelling by air

    While we encourage delegates to travel by train whenever possible, ERS has also partnered with KLM to offer a 10% discount on selected fares for delegates attending the ERS Congress.

    To benefit from this offer:

    1. Please visit KLM website.
    2. When asked “Are you travelling for business?”, select YES and enter MICE as the contract name.
    3. Proceed to the payment page, and in the ‘Your discount code’ field, enter: GME50788AF
    4. Click ‘Send discount code’. If the booking meets all conditions, the discount will be automatically applied.

    Important:

    Bookings must be made in EUR currency. If you are booking from a non-EUR country, please switch to the version of the website corresponding to a EUR zone country.
