The European Respiratory Society (ERS) has begun the search for the next Chief Editor(s) of the European Respiratory Journal (ERJ).
The ERJ is the official scientific journal of ERS and is one of the most highly regarded peer-reviewed respiratory journals worldwide.
The current Chief Editor, Marc Humbert, and his editorial board will complete their mandate on 31 December, 2017. It is anticipated that the next Editor(s) will shadow the current editorial team from April 2017, assuming full responsibility in January 2018. ERS is seeking candidates with the following qualities for this challenging position: previous international editorial experience, organisational ability, leadership skills, prestige in the field, and willingness to devote requisite time to the ERJ and ERS.
