The European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress is a major event in the global respiratory health calendar, enjoyed by thousands of attendees every year. Because of its popularity, the event is often targeted by individuals and companies seeking to exploit attendees through fake websites and fraudulent offers of registration, accommodation, and travel.

To help ensure all attendees have a smooth and enjoyable congress experience, here are four tips to help you avoid scams linked to the ERS Congress 2025, which takes place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and online, from 27 September to 1 October, 2025.

1. Always check the email sender

All congress-related emails from ERS will be sent from an @ersnet.org email address. Our official partners or suppliers may also contact you – and you can click here to confirm their company names and contact details.

2. Book your hotel through our official partner

The official hotel partner for the ERS Congress 2025 is RAI Hotels & Services. Please visit our Venue, hotels and travel page to book your accommodation, view the accommodation terms and conditions, and discover the latest travel information.

3. Contact us if you have any doubts

If you are unsure whether an email or other communication is legitimate, please contact us and a member of the ERS team will help to confirm.

4. Report any websites, individuals, or companies you believe are fraudulent

If you believe you are in contact with a fraudulent company or individual, we kindly ask that you cease all communication and contact us immediately.

Register your place by 9 July to take advantage of the early-bird discount.
