On 8–11 March we will return to Estoril, Portugal for the 16th ERS Lung Science Conference: Cell-matrix interactions in lung disease and regeneration. Registration for this event is now open.

The Lung Science Conference (LSC) is an annual and highly anticipated event, ideal for young researchers looking to boost their career.

As well as offering a full programme to delegates who want to be at the forefront of basic and translational respiratory science, the event will feature cutting-edge abstracts on novel experimental lung research on the theme, and offer a unique opportunity for young researchers to network with peers from around the globe.

An Early Career Session is also organised as part of the event focusing on the key areas of successful publication, including maximising your publication output, optimising visibility of your publication and assessing the impact of your paper.

There are also a number of awards presented during the Conference such as the Young Investigator Session Award, the Best Oral Presentation Award, and the Distinguished Poster Awards; all are valuable opportunities for young researchers to showcase their work.

Speaking about the event, ERS Conferences and Seminars Director Rachel Chambers noted: “We are pleased to offer LSC 2018 delegates an exciting line-up of leading investigators working at the forefront of respiratory science and medicine. In addition to featuring unique networking events, the LSC will present the latest advances in basic and translational research in the field of matrix and cell-matrix interactions across the spectrum of respiratory disease and regenerative medicine. We look forward to welcoming established and emerging investigators from around the world to attend what promises to be a unique event in Estoril. ”
