The European Respiratory Journal is calling for new submissions of original research articles, review papers, research letters and viewpoints for a series on COPD.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) affects over 300 million people worldwide and is responsible for three million deaths per year; the ERJ has issued this call in response to the global challenge that the disease presents. The editors will give preference to papers that:
- Report results of clinical trials;
- Provide clear mechanistic insight to its pathophysiology;
- Elucidate endophenotypes;
- Alter clinical management or approaches.
The ERJ can offer fast track peer-review and publication for suitable papers.
Interested authors with suitable manuscripts should submit their work online by 30 June, 2025. Please indicate on the submission cover letter that the paper is in response to this call.
