CME Online: Prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia - article image

A new CME module is now available, which focuses on strategies for the prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia.

Led by Dr Theodore Dassios and Dr Anna Lavizzari, the module includes a review of the key interventions that aim to reduce the risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and comorbidities that can accompany the disease.
The module features an interactive case simulation, a panel discussion and suggested readings, which will provide participants with an understanding of:

  • The risk factors associated with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia and poor outcomes
  • Key interventions that can reduce the risk of onset of the disease
  • Lung-protective strategies for respiratory support to minimise lung damage
  • Current evidence regarding pharmacological options to prevent bronchopulmonary dysplasia and the role of other supportive care

Participants with a myERS account will also be able to take a test on the topic at the end of the module, which is accredited with one CME credit. A CME certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the CME test.
