Romain Pauwels Research Award
Through the support of GlaxoSmithKline, the ERS offers an Award of €50,000 to encourage a new generation of lung scientists and to support young researchers in their quest to understand and treat respiratory illnesses.
The grant will be awarded for excellence in previous achievements in clinical research on airway diseases, such as asthma and related diseases. Other respiratory diseases are however not excluded.
The award winner will be announced at the 2017 ERS International Congress in Milan (9-13 September 2017).
- The award is exclusively reserved for candidates who are ERS Members, 45 years of age or under at the time of the application deadline and who achieved outstanding clinical research on airway diseases and motivated to continue. There are no geographical restrictions on applicants.
- Restriction: people who have received this Award in the past or any other ERS Award or Grant in the last three years, are not eligible to apply or for nomination.
