It is increasingly understood that many disease entities are complex and heterogeneous. As a result, not all patients suffering from a disease (e.g. asthma) respond similarly to potential treatments. Therefore, there is a need for the development of precision medicine interventions. Examples of diseases requiring personalised treatment approaches range across the respiratory field and include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension. To address these needs, clinical trial designs are evolving over time and a good understanding of newer designs is crucial for health professionals, who need to critically appraise new knowledge, and also for clinical researchers, who need to use the most effective trial designs to maximise research impact and minimise costs.

What is a webinar?
The webinar closely simulates a lecture-based teaching experience. The speaker can interact with the audience, just as in a classroom setting.
This webinar comprises 45-minute lecture followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer sessions. During the webinar you will be asked to share your opinion on issues related to the topic using interactive polls.
All participants will be able to hear the lecturer and see the slides throughout the presentation. As a participant you will be able to pose questions or discuss ideas with the other participants via the text chat facility and the speaker will respond to the questions via the microphone.
