World Health Organization Air Quality Guidelines 2021

The World Health Organization (WHO)  launched the 2021 update to its Global Air Quality Guidelines (AQGs) on 22 September, 2021 – a highly anticipated publication, which is the first update to the WHO AQGs since 2005.

The European Respiratory Society (ERS) encourages all in the healthcare and public health communities to catch up on this important ERS webinar, which took place on the launch day of the new WHO Guidelines. The participants included:

  • Zorana J. Andersen – ERS Environment and Health Committee Chair and Professor in Environmental Epidemiology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Maria Neira – Director of the Public Health, Environment and Social Determinants of Health Department of the World Health Organization
  • Bert Brunekreef – Emeritus Professor of Environmental Epidemiology at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and Editor in Chief of Environmental Epidemiology
  • Annette Peters – Director of the Institute of Epidemiology at Helmholtz Zentrum München, Germany
