This course brings together leading experts worldwide to discuss the opportunities but also difficulties in studying the lung microbiome. In particular, this course will provide an introduction to the basic concepts of the lung microbiome field and an overview of state-of-the-art developments.
The course consists of lectures given by renowned experts in the respective fields, followed by interactive workshops where participants will be able to expand their knowledge on study-design, sampling, and data analysis.
The participants will be able to bring their own ‘cases’ and studies to be discussed during these workshops. This will ensure this course will be educational, tailored to the individual, and provide opportunities to share ideas, request feedback, and propose collaborative studies with the faculty.
An application for accreditation will be submitted to the European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP). Please note that the number of CME credits received corresponds to the time spent watching the live stream.
