This ERS/ESTS joint course will provide state-of-the-art knowledge of all issues regarding lung transplantation, including referral and selection criteria for potential lung transplant candidates, supply management and selection of suitable donor organs, early and long-term management issues of lung transplant recipients, management of immunosuppression and its side effects, and specific clinical and organizational issues of newly established or running lung transplant programmes, among others. According to their learning needs, participants will be able to follow either the basic or the advanced programme.
An application for accreditation will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). The number of credits that you will receive corresponds to your attendance during the onsite course. Please note that you need to sign the register of attendance each day to ensure that you receive the CME credits.

Following this course, participants will learn basic principles which are necessary to select a good transplant candidate and manage pre, peri and post transplant FU, including immunological, functional and pathological diagnosis of acute rejection and CLAD.

A limited number of bursaries are available which provide either full financial support to attend the course or cover the cost of the registration fee. To be eligible to apply you must be:

- A member of ERS or ESTS.
