Abstracts and Bursaries

The abstract submission and bursary application is now open!

In order to submit an abstract, log on MyERS (https://my.ersnet.org/Login.html), click on the onglet "Abstracts" and select the Lung Science Conference 2015.

The abstract submission deadline is October 31, 2014.

The ERS Lung Science Conference organisers encourage presentations of any novel experimental lung research and intentionally provide a forum to allow interactions between different areas. Therefore submission of abstracts describing original research into all areas of respiratory medicine including those related to the main themes of the conference is encouraged.

Bursaries covering registration and contribution towards other costs are also available for up to 40 participants. Potential applicants have to submit an abstract in order to be considered for a bursary. Applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in lung science research as part of their future career. Potential applicants have to submit an abstract in order to be considered for a bursary.

In addition, the abstracts selected for a bursary are automatically selected for the ERS International Congress, the biggest respiratory event in the world, which will be held in Amsterdam in September 2015.

Mentorship programme:

Each abstract author who receives a bursary is appointed a mentor (one of the conference Faculty or a member of the Lung Science Conference Scientific Committee). Together, they can discuss both scientific and career questions during a dedicated mentorship lunch on the first day of the conference.

Meet key speakers:

The scientific programme of the Lung Science Conference is close to being finalised. 15 outstanding speakers are already confirmed their attendance and will be available throughout the weekend to share their knowledge and experience on science and on career development.
